Pat works in the area of commercial and residential real estate, including lender representation, SBA lending, condominium formation and tax-free transactions.   As an outgrowth of her real estate practice, Pat also handles various special proceedings, including guardianships, partition proceedings and foreclosures. “The real estate area of law is a minefield of details that requires laborious record searches, detailed lender requirements, individual client concerns and disbursement of significant sums of money,” says Pat. “Whether it’s a commercial or residential transaction, our goal is to navigate the minefield carefully and accurately for every client.”   Pat is active with the Charlotte Chapter of the National Network of Commercial Real Estate Women and is a past national delegate. She served on the Mecklenburg Country Zoning Board of Adjustment from 1993 to 1999, including one year as chairman. Pat is active with the Mecklenburg County Bar and has been involved with the Lawyers Referral Service, the Silent Partner Program, the Grievance Committee and Legal Services for the Elderly. She is past secretary for the Charlotte Trolley, Inc. and chairman of the Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools Academic Internship Program board, as well as coordinator of its law internship program.   Pat’s clients include the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Historic Landmarks Commission, First Union/The Money Store Investment Corp., Comerica Bank, Temecula Valley Bank and McDonald’s Corporation. She is an approved attorney for: Lawyers Title Insurance Corp., First American Title Insurance Corp., Stewart Title Guaranty Corp., Chicago Title Insurance Corp., and Commonwealth Land Title Insurance Co.
