Philip
D.
Lambeth joined Harkey Lambeth in 1972 after graduating from law school
at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In 30 years Phil
has cultivated many career-long clients who rely on his extensive
expertise in commercial collections, residential real estate and
creditors’ rights. He is a member of the Commercial Law League of
America and represents such forwarders as international business
information firm Dun & Bradstreet.
“The trend for many law firms has been to grow, with attorneys
moving in and out of the firm. We’ve never been like that,” says Phil.
“Our attorneys have stayed and built long-lasting relationships with
our best clients. Our philosophy has been bigger is not better.”
Phil is active in the community and the Mecklenburg County Bar
Association. He has served as elder of Little Church on the Lane and
regularly conducts a Bible study class at Southminster Retirement
Community. He is married to Nancy Lambeth and has three grown
stepdaughters.
Aside from law, Phil’s passion is music. During his college years at
UNC Chapel Hill he played lead guitar for a rock band called the Nova
Local. In the late 1970s he was a member of the Charlotte bluegrass
band, Wild Bill and the Buffalo Chips. When he’s not working Phil is an
entertaining guest to any party, tickling the ivories or strumming the
guitar. |
