Harkey Lambeth, LLP, was founded in Charlotte,
North Carolina, in 1946 by Henry Lee Harkey. A recent graduate of the University of North Carolina at
Chapel Hill School of Law, Henry Lee’s practice grew as he established a reputation for integrity and
personal service, qualities that are still evident at Harkey Lambeth. In 1972 Philip Lambeth joined the firm,
and four years later, Harkey’s eldest son, Henry, became a member of the firm. Harkey’s younger son,
Averill Harkey, joined his father and brother two years later. Pat Nystrom entered the firm in 1982 and
Jeff Williams-Tracy in 1995. With this team already long-assembled, in 2002 the law firm became known as
Harkey Lambeth, LLP.
While many firms focus on accelerated growth with frequent associate turnover, Harkey Lambeth has remained
committed to the stability and synergy of its long-lasting partnership. The law firm’s badge of honor is the
longevity of its client relationships. Harkey Lambeth brings decades of experience and a sensible approach
to each client’s matter, along with vigorous advocacy, resulting in the best possible outcome.
Harkey Lambeth LLP, is a diversified law practice with member attorneys capable of providing sound legal
advice to national and local businesses as well as individuals. The attorneys hold particular expertise
in the areas of business law, commercial collections, commercial real estate, civil litigation, estate planning,
