For almost thirty years with the law firm of Harkey Lambeth, Pat Nystrom has specialized in the area of
commercial real estate, focusing on acquisitions, title examinations, commercial lending,
leasing and development. She has particular expertise in SBA lending, having closed several hundred
transactions as lender counsel and numerous others as borrower counsel. Her expertise includes
condominium formation and conversions. As an outgrowth of her real estate practice, she is also
experienced in proceedings before the Clerk of Court including partition proceedings, incompetency
petitions and guardianships.
Recent transactions and representative clients include:
- Representation of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Historic Landmarks Commission in its real estate purchases through its
revolving fund, established through the sale of bonds by Mecklenburg County;
- Lender counsel for Wells Fargo Bank in its North Carolina SBA lending transactions;
- Representation of owner of downtown Charlotte apartment building in $32 million refinance of bond debt;
- Certification of title and closings for national fast food restaurant chain for its locations in
Charlotte area;
- Representation of Sharon Towers, a large non-profit nursing/elderly care facility, in real estate
acquisition and other real estate matters; and
- Representation of numerous property owners to amass acreage for sale to developers for shopping center.
