N.C. Bar Recognizes Harkey Lambeth Attorneys
Sept. 30, 2010

The North Carolina Bar Association has recognized three attorneys from Harkey Lambeth LLP, for their volunteer service to Boy Scouts of America.

On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the founding of Boy Scouts of America, the NCBA has chosen to recognize members who are or have been adult volunteers of scouting during their legal careers. At the website, www.ncscoutingattorneys.com NCBA has included written profiles of attorney Scouts, highlighting their civic, professional and personal accomplishments.

Henry Harkey, Averill Harkey and Jeff Williams-Tracy each earned the Eagle Scout award, the highest achievement in Scouting, and have previously or continue to serve as adult leaders in the Mecklenburg County Council.

Henry Harkey currently serves as president of the Mecklenburg County Council. For 35 years Henry volunteered with Troop 55 at Myers Park Presbyterian Church, serving as scout master for a decade. Henry is the recipient of the Silver Beaver Award, given by the Council for distinguished volunteer service.

Averill Harkey has served as an adult volunteer with Troop 55 and as a member of its Eagle review board.

Since 2006 Jeff Williams-Tracy has served as den leader and Cub Master of Pack 1 at The Episcopal Church of the Holy Comforter in Charlotte.
